Baobab Fiber, L-Arabinose & Spermidine, Explained
Baobab Fiber, L-Arabinose and Spermidine are the three remaining ingredients in Novotide's four-ingredient formula, each contributing a different, narrower angle.
Understanding what each is genuinely connected to helps complete the picture beyond the formula's one well-evidenced component.
Baobab Fiber
Baobab fruit pulp is a genuine, long-established food source of soluble fiber, studied for prebiotic effects and short-chain fatty acid production in the gut. Research is available on PubMed. Like any fiber, its effects depend heavily on the amount consumed.
L-Arabinose
L-Arabinose is a naturally occurring plant sugar with a specific, narrow mechanism: it competes with sucrase, the enzyme that breaks down table sugar (sucrose) in the gut. Research is indexed on PubMed. This mechanism is specific to sucrose — it has no established effect on starches, fats, or other sugar types.
Spermidine
Spermidine is a naturally occurring polyamine found in wheat germ, aged cheese, mushrooms and other foods. It has generated genuine research interest in autophagy (the body's cellular recycling process) and longevity, indexed on PubMed. Notably, there are no established human clinical trials showing spermidine causes weight loss specifically.
Applying this to Novotide
Baobab Fiber, L-Arabinose and Spermidine are three of the four ingredients in Novotide's formula, each a reasonable, if narrower, supporting choice alongside the formula's stronger Konjac Glucomannan component.
